About Emily

I’m Emily King and what I love to do with my time is write. I specialise in freelance journalism, social media, SEO, editing, copywriting and scriptwriting – anything. In the past I’ve written for the Daily Mirror’s videogame site, Cheats Unlimited and Gamebosh, and I’ve been the Multimedia Producer for games site BeefJack. These days I’m and a Research and Marketing Executive for Radix Communications Ltd and the producer, editor and co-host of the Nerds Assemble podcast. I also run Drowning in Multimedia.

On the comic books side of things: I’m working on scripts for six issues of my own comic book series called Cure, which I’m hoping to self-publish. Plus I’ve recently had a short comic called Back Row published in an anthology from Cape Fear Comics, titled The Pilgrim Strips.

Having over four years of writing and media production experience, I am well placed to help you with your copy, communication and editing needs. Just contact me with your project details to get a quote.

Looking for a writer to collaborate with on a creative project? I’m available for non-business writing too. From scripts for short films, to videogames, to comic books.

And due to my various multimedia roles, I’m also a self-taught Pro Tools user and also have some basic experience of using AVID Media Composer for video editing as well. After a real, AVID expert video editor? Then I suggest getting in touch with Paul Blewitt.

If there’s somehow not enough about me on here, you can check out my about.me profile or my LinkedIn profile.
